Love the tips and tricks

I really like how the instructor gives details of all of the essentials to be successful at every step. I’ve been learning creative lettering for two months and I’ve learned more from this course than all others I’ve taken.

This was really fun!

I liked this course. I've put off lettering because I thought it would be too difficult, but it's not with her directions! I like being able to watch how she letters, and I replayed a lot to see her technique in action. I now feel like I can do this, too, with some practice!

Interesting angle for beginnning calligraphy lessons

I liked the easy access to the materials but wish there were more templates for practicing the letters.

My review

It was good, but I would have liked to see how the penciled out letters looked, the setup before you start going over it with ink, on the final projects.

I think this course was a good match for me, I had already been learning lettering with crayola but got caught in a rut and was stuck. With this course I was able to finally put my letters into words. Shouldnt be long before my letters/words start looking nice and pretty like all the experienced ones.

This course really gave me the tools to write a whole new kind of way, regardless of using Crayola Markers. I don't have any, but I tried this technique with highlighters, crayons, pencil, traditional brush + paint, thin markers and the result is something personified and easy to apply.

I enjoyed the course. I've tried using Crayolas for brush lettering before, but found the instructions and demonstration so much better. Thanks Shelby.

Clear explanations of differences between brush marker and Crayola. It would have been nice to show how you figured out where the words should go on the paper to set up the quote.
