Such a great teacher

I liked how Erica took me step by step, with her calming voice, and I learnt a lot of useful technical information. I would have enjoyed doing more actual painting, but I still say Thank you Erica for such an enjoyable course

Grreat Explanations for a Beginner

I really liked how she demonstrated what she was talking about. Miranda went through it thoroughly and as a beginner I feel better about continuing on my watercolor journey. There is a couple of things I'd like to see though; in the beginning I would like to know what brush size(s) and paper size(s). I would like to have been a bit better prepared.

Cotton paper is better for this project because there is a lot of blending. Non-cotton paper dries too quickly.

I liked using ink and watercolor together. Some parts were difficult for me to hear because I have a hard time understanding accents.

So clear and informative

I loved this course. Even though I wouldn’t consider myself a beginner, I decided to listen to Shelby and start at the beginning. I am happy I did. Shelby gave insight into some supplies that I didn’t actually know or consider. It was also so clear and focused in on exactly what I needed to know. Fabulous!

Great intro to bullet journaling!

I learned so much as Shelby shared her experiences with art and creativity. The video on “Overcoming Perfection” and the “first page fear” were especially meaningful and helpful to me because I really struggle with fear of failure holding me back. Thank you, Shelby for assuring me that mistakes are inevitable and necessary for growth. “Done not perfect” will be my new mantra! Can’t wait to start!

Behind the Scenes of Why Choose Certain Supplies!

This was not my first (nor is it the last) supplies recommendations that I have watched. I went into this course expecting the typical breakdown of Paper, Brushes, Paint and what I received was so much more explanatory. I appreciated that the course included sections like extras and how one might set up their supplies. I learned new things and walked away feeling confident in my supplies!
