Creative Focus Power Hour

What It Is:

The Creative Focus Power Hour is one hour a week where we simply work on projects together over Zoom. Consider it a reserved space where you can ideate, write, draw, paint, practice, hone, polish, or do whatever you need to do on your creative project.

Each week, we hop on the Zoom and begin the hour with an intention to focus non-stop on one task on our creative want-to-do list. We mute ourselves and all quietly get to work until the hour is up. That’s it!

Why We Do It:

The reason this very simple feature works is because the group acts as an accountability partner. The technique is called body doubling, and it can be incredibly helpful for getting stuff done in small sprints.

Often, it’s easy to push creative tasks and projects to the backburner, where we’re lucky to put any time toward it at all. The Creative Focus Power Hour is a dedicated weekly time slot where you can push ahead in your goal, slowly and steadily. You’d be amazed how much you can get done!

How to Participate:
