Flowing Colors: Practice Watercolor Lettering

Do you love lettering? Watercolor? Let’s put them together in this brand new batch of watercolor lettering projects! This session is perfect for anyone looking to practice their lettering skills while exploring creative possibilities with watercolors. Throughout this interactive session, you’ll participate in hands-on learning, growing your skills with every project.

I’ll show you three different finished projects, and we’ll go through one or two together. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with valuable practices and ideas to take your watercolor lettering to the next level.

What You Will Learn:

  • Warm-up techniques to improve fluidity in your lettering
  • Insights into one or two styles of watercolor lettering through mini projects
  • Strategies to incorporate watercolor effects into your designs

Supplies You’ll Need:

  • Watercolor paper
  • Watercolor paints (a selection of colors)
  • Round watercolor brushes (different sizes)
  • A palette or mixing plate
  • Two jars of water (one for rinsing brushes, one for clean water)
  • Paper towels or a rag for blotting
  • Pencils and erasers for light sketching before painting

Loved the class. I'm still new to hand lettering. I haven't practiced Serif and San Serif fonts much. I have mostly focused on brush lettering. I will have to practice more and redo the projects. I can't wait to see the how the projects improve after I practice and redo them. This was my first online class.
