Building upon the foundational techniques covered in Part 1, this class delves deeper into the intricacies of facial anatomy, expression, and detail. 

In this draw-along class, you’ll explore much more about how to capture a wide range of emotions with facial expressions. After this class, you will be itching to apply these new skills to your next portrait drawing.

What You Will Learn:

Supplies You’ll Need:

  • Sketchbook or Drawing Paper
  • Pencils: A range of HB to 6B pencils for varying shades and textures.
  • Erasers: Kneaded eraser and vinyl eraser for corrections and highlights.
  • Blending Tools: Blending stumps or tortillons for smooth shading.
  • Sharpener: To maintain pencil points for detailed work.

Great class for gaining a lot of useful info on what to look for when sketching facial expressions. In depth on both the eyes and mouth regions, along with how to practice sketching the expressions.

Great lesson on how to draw expressions! Loved the concept of the superhero mask and Batman mouth to help figure out what to focus on. As this was part two of how to draw faces, I do wish there was a little bit more coverage on how to draw the actual features.
