Next, you learn how to apply the graphite on the paper. Last, you use your blending tools to blend the graphite so that you create smooth shading that looks 3-dimensional.

By the end of this live class, you’ll feel confident in your ability to apply this simple step-by-step process to draw all kinds of subject matter realistically.

What You Will Learn:

Basic Composition: Start with the fundamentals by learning to sketch the basic shapes of various fruits, focusing first on a realistic apple.
Understanding Light: Discover how to identify and work with light sources to accurately determine highlights, midtones, shadows, and reflections in your drawing.
Graphite Techniques: Learn the art of graphite application:
Blending Skills: Master blending techniques using blending tools to create smooth, three-dimensional effects in your artwork.

Supplies You’ll Need:

Drawing paper, mixed media paper, or a sketchbook that’s suited for drawing
2B, 4B, and 6B graphite pencils
An eraser
A pencil sharpener
An assortment of big and small blending stumps (Use tissues, paper towels, or a Q-tip as a substitute)
