    Today’s study: the mangrove tree!

You can see two versions below. One is when I finished the 50 min Sketch Session. The second has another 20-30 min of colored pencil work.

This one was challenging, but very fun. What a tangle!

I am working on this new art project that I got myself during Christmas advent calendar,it’s nice ,because I wanted to reflect and a take a me time during Christmas winter brake for 24 days during advent Christmas calendar, and I truly enjoy it and had a blast, during tge Christmas advent calendar, each day I would open one calendar day every day for 24 days ,and I got new tools that I can now use them in this class and during live sessions and I got a brand new set of good professional markers that I can to practice during class as well .i felt this is very helpful for me to find out who I am as a beginner and semi experienced artists, but I still have long ways to go .i meant to share this last week, but was having technical issues with my devices, that I could not share it at the Foxy academy.thankfully the Foxy academy tech support was successful, and able to get back in here again ,and yay 😁.i can now share this everyone.. it’s still in working progress ,but good or bad critics are good for me ,as that way I can become a better student and keep practicing while I learn at the Foxy academy

Rock on, Danette! Congrats on the new markers, that is delightful! Is this on a foam faux brick surface? It looks like a really fun project!

The best advice I can give is to use those supplies! Growth only comes from action, and the playing with art supplies is a brilliant way to learn more, faster. Getting to know the feel of new materials is a huge step toward feeling confident and curious for what’s next!

Ok I am IN LOVE with this painting! I went over time by 15 minutes, but it was so worth it. 😍

I’m surprised how well this Volcanic Plug study turned out! I thought the vulture was a nice touch.

This isn’t sketch session related…but it is my study of rocks that I did in yesterday’s focused painting session with Linda and Shelby.

So, why not take some creative liberty and share here anyway? It’s not finished, but I got the brush in my hand after a few weeks’ hiatus. That was the goal!

Done, not perfect is my new mantra 😘
