Some Experience – I've tried a few things
It’s my intention to simply enjoy the journey.
I don’t really have any favourites yet because I have not tried ‘everything’. Out of the experiences I have had, my favourite watercolour paints are Meeden, Beam and Blue Pine Arts. But I do really like QOR as well. Daniel Smiths are ok, but not my favourite.  HIMI is my favourite watercolour gouche. Liquitex is my favourite acrylic gouache out of the gouache’s I have tried. I have heard there are watercolour gouache that are must better. I don’t have any experience with pastel yet although I have many! lol Watercolour pencils – well, I’m still looking. So far Mondeluz knocks everyone out of the water.
Inks, well there is no doubt about it that D’Atramentis inks are the top of the line. But there are other inks that are nice too.
Actually for sketching, especially out on the road, but even at home, Zebra fountain pens are awesome – depends on the sketching you do and what you are looking for. At home, if I want an archival experience I use a dip pen and India Ink that is archival. The Zebra pen I use at home and abroad if I want to be able to go back in with a brush and water to create shadows or contrast.
For acrylic paint (which I am now trying to stay away from) Golden is by far my favourite product. Nothing wrong with Liquitex either. Under certain circumstances even ‘craft’ acrylics are fine.
Tools – well I wouldn’t be without natural things such as twigs and feathers. Wouldn’t be without credit cards, spatulas, all my various brushes, a water brush or two, scissors, stencils, stamps and various things which make circles 😉
Probably there is alot more if I had time to think about it and put it down 😉
