I love to learn new things all the time, some I put in my “tool kit” some I say well that was fun and move on! I hope to continue to make connections with the wonderful people I have become friends with because of this group and hope for us all to have an amazing and creative and peaceful 2026!
My very favorite colors of acrylic paint at this time -Golden brand Manganese blue in the “open”most transparent version, Red iron oxide from Golden also transparent as well as Golden’s Green-gold. I love the transparent versions for using on my gel plate another of my favorite art supplies, and the speedball 4 in one breyer (the rollers you use when gel printing)
my favorite water colors are Kuratake Gamsai Tambi, and their metallics and jewel tones. And my most recent water colors are made by my friend “critter chops l” on the whatnot app! I suggest popping in when he is making up new batches and colors it is quite Zen!
I also love Matte medium, gloss medium and spackle!! Yup I said spackle, you can use expensive modeling paste or stencil butter for texture but unless you are intending to charge millions for your work I would rather spend 2.99! Good 100% cotton water color paper , (crappy smooth hot press water color paper for collaging,) yasutomo “sketch pad” rice paper, tissue paper, PVA archival glue, UHU glue sticks, and art glitter glue-(dries quickly and does not contain glitter) assorted micron pens, tombow water color markers, Posca acryllic paint pens, assorted pigment inks in pad form spray form and liquid form, stabilo all pencils in black, Stabilo Woody pencils, distress crayonsMurphy oil soap!-yes it’s a wonderful art supply for any oops you might have with your brushes sitting in glue or acrylics. Home made mark making tools (want to know how? Just ask!
