If you looked at the timing, it’s almost exclusively around meal time. To be vague, I have multiple health issues that make it very difficult to eat enough to stay healthy, so distracted eating is recommended by my medical team, and silly games help with that. My primary goal I think is that I’m really only on my phone during mealtimes.
My social media time on my laptop is higher. I keep my feeds curated and prefer social media where you reach the ‘end’ of updates. So it just took me maybe 6 minutes to look at everything from the last 24 hours on my Instagram. Tumblr is my favorite, and I can usually review it in under 20 minutes each day unless there is an event. I wish Facebook would let me curate things better, because that is where my family posts and they are all over the continent, so I want to keep up with everything without the garbage. I also aggressively mute on Discord, but I don’t mind that one as I live alone and that is where I talk to friends.
Discord and my email are the only ones that are open all the time and have any sort of notification. Once I find a job, I’ll turn off most email notifications (and close Discord during work), but for now the email notifications are on so I can be prepared for job stuff.
