Helpful information for a beginner like me

I liked how Shelby explained the different brushes and gave examples of what they are used for. I especially liked the explanation of types of paper, brushes and paints I need as a beginner. The extra materials portion was also helpful to me. I feel prepared and ready to start. 🙂

Detailed and Extensive

Shelby takes the time to explain every individual component and why she advised the products she does but always emphasizes that whatever you have will work. I love how she broke the down course into each tools categories (watercolors, brushes, and paper choice). High recommend for anybody wanting to learn to paint with watercolors and need a step by step guide.

Clear and simple

Loved how you laid out the materials step by step and literally showed us your layout at the end. It put bits and pieces I have picked up, added new tips, and presented an organized way of looking at it all. 🙂

Concise and useful

This short course seems to be a great introduction to the world of watercolours for those who, like me, are just getting started. There were many details I had forgotten since school or wasn't aware of, and here I learnt enough to know where to start. Plus, being assured that I don't need expensive supplies gave me a lot of confidence and took a weight off my mind!

Clear overview

Not sure I would call this a course. If I had had to pay for it, I would be angry. This is the first chapter in the book, not the book. A course should be a book. It makes me question if future courses would be worthwhile.

Good introduction

You learn something new everyday. I did art in school years ago and don't recall the teacher ever stressing on two separate jars for water. I'm slowly getting back into watercolor and acrylic painting so this short courses was helpful for me to get set up.
